Nurturing Young Faith Through Music

Nurturing young voices in faith and worship through joyful singing and Bible-centred songs.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY / WORSHIP THROUGH MUSIC

Small voices.
Growing faith.

A place where every young voice is nurtured in worship, faith and joyful belonging.

The Sunday School Choir is one of NCHIC’s four choirs, helping children and teenagers explore their faith through joyful singing, Bible-centred songs and learning together.

Through music, children are encouraged to understand God’s Word, build confidence and experience the joy of shared worship in a caring environment.

━   03 / INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES

Everything you need
for a thoughtful start.

We want every child’s introduction to Sunday School Choir to feel welcoming, informed and appropriate for their needs.

Before contacting the Sunday School Choir, ask your child what they enjoy about music. They may like singing with others, learning a new song or simply listening at first. Let the team know about their musical interests, whether they have sung in a group before and what would help them feel comfortable.

When you enquire, ask what a typical practice involves and whether you can observe before deciding. Confirm how to prepare for the first session, who to speak with on arrival and what to do if your child needs a break. Discuss individual support needs privately with the church team.

You can also watch a general service recording on the NCHIC YouTube channel to get a feel for worship at the church. Afterwards, invite your child to talk about a song or a Bible passage they noticed. Keep that conversation relaxed and let them decide what they would like to explore next.
