- Discuss Current Roles & Requirements
From Interest to a Practical Next Step
You can begin with a conversation. These steps help you and the church team explore whether a current role suits your gifts, circumstances and availability.
1. Share Your Interests
Tell the team what you enjoy, any relevant experience and when you are usually available. You can also say that you are still discovering where you might contribute.
2. Understand the Role
Ask what the work involves, who would support you and what preparation, supervision or checks are appropriate. Confirm the expected time commitment before agreeing to a role.
3. Agree a Starting Point
Discuss a suitable next step with the team, such as a conversation with a ministry contact or learning more about a current need. Confirm the arrangements before beginning.
